Minimum Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen

• Students must be presently attending or accepted to Jackson State University in Jackson, MS in the fall of 2026

• Students must be pursuing an undergraduate degree

• Minimum of 2.5 GPA

• Must have outstanding student loan debt or will incur student loan debt in the 2026/2027 school year

The following documents are required for ALL applicants.

• High School or College Transcript

• Resume

• Student loan statement showing outstanding debt and the legal name

• FAFSA statement detailing awards by loans, grants, scholarships, etc 

• Letter of recommendation from a faculty member

• FAFSA & Letter of Recommendations are due - Due July 25, 2026

• Incomplete applications will not be considered

• Additional documentation may be required upon approval
